I've been a lifelong nature girl and artist. As a child I waded in creeks and finding crawfish under rocks. Today I hike and camp, and backpack the Sierras. I find my senses fully alive in nature. Early on I found that creating images and objects that reveal these experiences in nature deepens my connection to nature and grew my desire to explore.
The environment of childhood and the beauty I see today is threatened by the actions of all humans. I try through my art to bring attention to this. I am grateful that I've lived at this place and time and hope that my work can bring a focus to what is endangered.
